Teresa Hadland
Postgraduate Course Tutor

Teresa began her shiatsu studies in Scotland in 1980 while doing a languages degree. After graduating she moved to London to start work as a translator and continued studying Shiatsu at the East West Centre.

In 1984 she went to Japan to participate in a healing course which included Shiatsu as well as other Oriental healing methods. She then went on to Australia and worked for a year as an assistant in the Zen Shiatsu Centre in Sydney. On her return to Britain she began studying Shiatsu under Sonia Moriceau at the Healing-Shiatsu Education Centre.

In 1998 she became a registered teacher with the Shiatsu Society and teaches on the Shiatsu module for the BA in Complementary and Holistic Therapies at the University of Derby and on a 3-year Shiatsu Practitioner Training Course.

She has completed three years of postgraduate study in Movement Shiatsu and Experiential Teaching and is now a recognised teacher of that style.
