Hi Tanja, A lot of nerve pain is caused by muscle tension pressing on nerve roots or distorting the skeleton to squeeze a nerve. In those cases, the techniques that we are showing can help adjust the skeleto-muscular system to take the pressure off the nerves. This is not a universal answer and I have had mixed success working with the carpal bones to work with carpal tunnel syndrome which can have multiple causes – including arthritis in the neck! The main approach is to soften the attitude of the client to their pain. If you can help them to soften any ‘clenching’ around the pain then it changes the experience of the pain, whatever its cause.
