A new book by Bill Palmer will be published August 18th.
The book of Movement Shiatsu & Inner Qigong

About the Book
In this book, Bill Palmer invites us into a different relationship with the body. Drawing on decades of work with Movement Shiatsu and Inner Qigong, he explores how development, movement, touch and awareness reveal an intelligence that is not confined to the brain. The body does not simply obey the mind; it listens, responds, remembers, improvises and seeks harmony.
Through essays, developmental theory, case stories and practical explorations, the book offers a new language for Qi, meridians and bodywork — one that can speak both to East Asian medicine and to contemporary science.
At its heart, this is a book about changing our mindset: from control to collaboration, from treatment to dialogue, from the isolated self to the inner community of the body.
About Bill Palmer

Bill Palmer (bill@seed.org) is Director of the School for Experiential Education in the UK. In the 1970’s he worked as a teacher and then studied for a Ph.D. in theoretical physics. In parallel with this, he studied Shiatsu and Chinese Herbal Medicine and in 1979 he switched careers to start practising and teaching Shiatsu and specialised in working with babies. His research into infant movements showed that baby movements developed exactly along the traditional Chinese meridians and he developed Movement Shiatsu and Inner Qigong as ways in which clients could use movement to experience their own Qi and take charge of their own healing. With his wife, Teresa, he teaches postgraduate courses in ten countries worldwide.
